ACU brings together new admission professionals for an early start on networking, learning tips and “secrets of the trade.” 
This popular annual event is designed for new admission professionals, offering practical training and tools to build a strong foundation as an admissions counselor. New professionals are encouraged to attend ACU - connect with peers, grow professionally, and collaborate with others who are passionate about supporting students on their college journey.

Do you need financial assistance to attend ACU 2026? Thanks to a grant from the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), we’re excited to offer a limited number of scholarships that will cover the full cost of registration. To be considered, complete the very short application linked below by July 17.

 Colleges to Counselors (C2C)

C2C provides an opportunity for Iowa ACAC member colleges & organizations to share institutional updates with high school counselors. The event  includes a college fair for networking and to hand out promotional literature. Lunch is included for school counselors and college admissions professionals. Questions? *  Want to be paired up with a mentor? Mentees are suggested to have less than 3 years of admissions experience.

*  Want to be a mentor and help those just starting out? Mentors need to have 3+ years of experience.

Mentorship Program Registration

 The R.I.D.E. - Rediscovering Iowa's Diverse Education

This free, three-day bus tour provides a door-to-door, first-hand look at college campuses and what each school offers students. Each year the RIDE's region of travel changes, taking counselors to a variety of colleges in a specific region for tours, hands-on learning, meals and even overnights in residence halls.
