Membership Categories
NOTE: If your institution/organization has contracted to attend the college day/night programs, or if your high school is a site host, you do not need to submit a membership form. An institutional membership is included with all college day/college night registrations, both in-state, out-of-state, and organizations.
In-State College/University (In-state not-for-profit, two- and four-year colleges and universities, technical and trade schools)
- Individual Membership: Principle Representative - $50.00- Principle representative is person to whom all mailings will be sent. This membership includes voting privileges, and access to the members-only listserv, the online membership portal, and the membership directory.
- College/University Institutional: This membership is an organizational membership and includes everyone in the admission office. Each receives voting privileges, and access to the members-only listserv, the online membership portal, and the membership directory.
Educational Organizational - $50: Principle representative is person to whom all mailings will be sent. This category includes not-for-profit organizations whose primary activities consist of providing counseling, admission, or financial aid services to students or to college admission counseling or financial aid professionals. Voting privileges for staff, and access to the members-only listserv, the online membership portal, and the membership directory.
Educational Individual membership - $50: Voting membership, which includes and access to the members-only listserv, the online membership portal, and the membership directory. Examples include: Educational consultants, AEA counselor coordinators, academic advisors, private counselors. This category includes persons employed by voting member institutions and organizations whose professional activities consist primarily of counseling, admission, or financial aid services, persons who were employed at a voting member institution or organization during the current year or immediately preceding membership year who are no longer employed by any member or member-eligible institution, independent educational consultants or counselors who are employed or employed by a company providing counseling, admission, or financial aid services to students and/or their parents, retired persons who were actively engaged in providing counseling, admission or financial aid services.
Out-of-State College/University

- Out-of-State Institutions/Organizations - $50: This is a non-voting membership which includes Iowa ACAC mailings, the listserv, and access to the online membership portal and directory. (If your institution/organization has contracted to attend the college day/night programs, you do not need to remit this fee. An institutional membership is included with all college day/college night registrations.)
The above categories include all out-of-state, not-for-profit, two- and four-year colleges, universities and other postsecondary institutions.
Secondary Counselors and School Districts (Organizational Membership) - $25:
This membership includes voting privileges, first access to event registration, access to the online membership portal and directory, and the listserv. Membership includes any or all professional staff listed on the application. (If you host a college day/night program, your school will receive a complimentary membership.)
Associate Membership - $50: Non-voting status, Iowa ACAC mailings, listserv access, and access to the online membership portal and directory. Examples: Principals, presidents, teachers, professors joining on their own and not included with college or secondary school or district memberships, vendor representatives, the armed forces, and for-profit postsecondary institutions (in-state or out-of-state).Includes out-of-state, not-for-profit organizations, whose primary activities consist of providing counseling, admission, or financial aid services to students or to college admission counseling or financial aid professionals.
Student - $10 - Examples: Undergraduate or graduate students interested in the admission field. Includes non-voting status, Iowa ACAC mailings, listserv access, and access to the online membership portal and directory.
