The 2025 conference planning team is hard at work, and we're buzzing with excitement about creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees. As the chair of this amazing team, I’d like to personally invite you to join us at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa this coming May for what promises to be an inspiring and fun-filled event: “Bridging Together in Higher Education”.

Let’s face it – the higher education landscape is constantly changing! From shifts in FAFSA policies to DEI initiatives, from making college more affordable to finding ways to make higher ed more accessible, the list goes on. So, what better way to stay ahead of the curve, tackle big issues, and connect with your fellow professionals than by attending our conference?

But wait – it’s not all just serious business! One of the best perks of attending is the chance to network with some truly incredible people. Whether you've been in the higher ed world for years or are just starting out, you'll meet others to swap ideas with, share stories, and learn so much from each other. It’s like a professional family reunion!

Now, here's the real fun part: Every year, we ask you – the rockstars of higher ed – to bring your knowledge, creativity, and experience to the table by submitting session proposals. You can have your voice heard and lead a session that’s meaningful to you. Feeling a little nervous as a first-time attendee?  No problem! Get a couple of colleagues together and host a team-led session. We’re looking for fresh, bold topics like LGBTQ+ inclusion, staff retention strategies, building team synergy, transfer recruitment, and how to stay innovative in a world where everyone seems to be copying each other. We encourage ‘outside the box’ ideas too!

And of course, we can’t forget about the FUN! We’ll be bringing back the ever-popular pre-conference golf outing (fore!) and have an exciting evening social in the works that you won’t want to miss. Trust us, it’s not all work and no play!
