About Government Relations
The Government Relations Committee is concerned with the federal, state and local issues that affect the transition process. The national committee determines an annual priority focus for increasing college access for all students. The focus falls under the following categories:
• Student financial aid
• Early awareness
• International education
• School counseling
• Affirmative action
• Undocumented students
The Iowa Government Relations Committee has had student financial aid and school counseling as its focus the last several years. The primary vehicle for this is Visit the Hill.
